Grand Theft Auto 6 has not even launched yet, and it has reportedly already made more than 600 million dollars. Insider Gaming's Mike Straw reports on estimates from Sensor Tower, which say the game has sold 6.45 million pre orders worth about 630 million dollars

PlayStation dominates. About 74 percent of pre orders are on PS5, accounting for 468 million dollars from 4.8 million copies. Xbox accounts for 162 million dollars from 1.66 million copies. The article puts that split down to PS5 outselling Xbox Series consoles by roughly three to one

Pre loading starts on 12 November, a week before the game launches on 19 November. Newzoo estimates that GTA 6 could make up to 5.2 billion dollars in its first week, which would be one of the biggest launches in entertainment history

These are third party estimates rather than official figures from Take-Two, so they should be treated with some caution. Still, they give a sense of the scale of demand

GTA 6 has been the most anticipated game in years, so huge numbers are no surprise. The launch could reshape the whole industry's year. Everyone else releasing games in November will be nervous

Have you pre ordered GTA 6? And could it make five billion dollars in a week?

I have pre ordered. After all these years of waiting, I want it on day one. No regrets

Other publishers moving their November games makes sense. Nobody wants to launch against GTA

The release calendar will be quiet. November will belong to Rockstar this year
Cashback on everything or it didn't happen
