GTA 6 leaker Cyberleek says it won't release the full game build

Cyberleek, the leaker who has been posting GTA 6 gameplay clips since August, says it will not release a full build of the game and has stopped leaking for now. Kotaku reports that the group took down its website and posted a three part message called End of the road on 14 October

Cyberleek gave two main reasons for stopping. It said its cryptocurrency token never reached the $30 million value it had set as a condition, and that uploading more than 200GB anonymously was too risky. It also said it has footage of the game's ending but will not post it, because that would spoil the game for fans

The leaker made some other claims that are impossible to verify. It says it has a dead man's switch that will release its remaining material if it is removed. It also denied claims that its token was a scam, saying it had sold its holdings twice and only paid trading fees, and describing the token as a donation rather than an investment

We have covered earlier threats to leak a full build, and this looks like the end of that particular chapter. Rockstar and Take-Two have not commented. Whatever the leaker's motives, it is a relief that the full game and its ending will not be spoiled before launch

GTA 6 launches on 19 November, just over a month away. After years of waiting and plenty of leaks, most fans just want to experience it fresh. Hopefully the rest of the run up to launch is about official trailers rather than leaks
