Push Square has confirmed that Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered is coming to PS5 on November 3, 2026 at $29.99. The original was a GameCube and Xbox exclusive in 2002 that never appeared on PlayStation hardware. The remake uses Unreal Engine 5 with visuals rebuilt completely from the ground up despite the 'Remastered' label in the title. This is notable as one of the few November releases brave enough to launch in the same month as GTA 6 on November 19.

State of Play and Summer Game Fest have both seen publishers avoid direct head-to-head scheduling with GTA 6. Atari published the original via Infogrames and appears to be the publisher on this release.

Destroy All Monsters Melee on PS5 is genuinely exciting for anyone who played it in 2002. The monster roster, the destructible city environments and the sheer scale of kaiju combat holds up conceptually even if the original visuals absolutely do not

Launching on November 3 is either brave or suicidal. Two weeks before GTA 6 means they get the pre-GTA-launch window of people looking for something to play, but GTA 6 will then immediately consume all available oxygen in the room

The fact this was never on PlayStation hardware originally is the key detail. There is an entire generation of PlayStation-primary players for whom this is genuinely new and that is a bigger market than the nostalgic GameCube audience

Atari publishing a 2002 Infogrames title in 2026 is a whole journey of IP ownership history compressed into one sentence. That game has passed through so many hands since its original release

30 dollars is the right price point. Full price for a remake of a licensed brawler from 2002 would be a hard sell regardless of the UE5 visuals. At $29.99 it is an easy impulse buy

UE5 for a kaiju brawler is absolutely the right call. The scale of Godzilla fights needs the kind of large-environment destruction and lighting that UE5 handles better than anything else available right now
