Switch 2 owners will have to wait a little longer for FromSoftware's next game. Video Games Chronicle reports that The Duskbloods, the studio's multiplayer action game exclusive to Nintendo's console, has moved from 2026 into 2027

No specific release date had ever been announced, and there still is not one. In a statement on X, FromSoftware said the game is in its final adjustment stage and apologised to players who have been waiting

The studio said feedback from its August network test showed strong interest in the game's combat, strategic depth and player expression. The extra time will be used for final adjustments to the game's rules and balancing

The network test reportedly drew more applicants than Elden Ring Nightreign's test, though some players ran into login errors. The Duskbloods is one of the most high profile third party exclusives for the Switch 2

FromSoftware delays usually lead to better games, so few fans will complain too loudly. Balancing a multiplayer game properly matters, because a bad launch can sink it. Switch 2 owners still have plenty to play in the meantime

Are you disappointed by the delay? And how do you feel about FromSoftware making a multiplayer focused game?
