Free games running thread: post freebies you can claim

[Forge89]

Here is a running thread for free games. Every week, various stores and services give away games that you can claim and keep, often including big titles that would normally cost a fair amount. It is easy to miss them, since many offers only last a few days. Posting them here should help everyone keep track

The main regular sources are well known. The Epic Games Store gives away at least one game every week, usually starting on a Thursday. GOG runs regular giveaways, often of older classics. Steam has occasional free to keep promotions as well as free weekends, where you can play a game for a few days without keeping it. Console subscriptions, like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, add games each month, although you only keep access while subscribed

To keep things useful, please post the game, the store, the date the offer ends and whether it is free to keep or only free to play for a limited time. Links to the official store pages are fine, but please avoid unofficial key sites, since those can be dodgy. If a game turns out to be excellent, a short recommendation helps others decide whether to bother

I have claimed far more free games than I will ever play, but a few have become favourites. Some of the best indie games I have played came from weekly giveaways, which I would never have tried otherwise. Claiming them costs nothing, even if they sit in the library for years

What free games have you spotted this week? And which past freebie turned out to be a gem?
