Up, Down, Left, Right, A + Start is the classic level select cheat for the original 1991 Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega Genesis

I think that is a nod to Konami Code ("Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start"), which famously provided 30 lives in Contra. Its massive, lasting legacy makes it the most well-known, often providing advantages or easter eggs in numerous games over decades.
