Boxing fans have been waiting a long time for this. GamesRadar's Dustin Bailey reports that EA Sports has teased the return of Fight Night through a new social media account. The post showed boxing gloves on an empty canvas with the message: To everyone who stayed in our corner, Fight Night is coming back

No platforms, release date or other details have been given. EA's restructuring memo the following day confirmed that the next Fight Night is in development, so this is not just a tease

The last game in the series was Fight Night Champion in 2011. Before that, Fight Night Round 4 was one of the best reviewed sports games on PS3 and Xbox 360. Many fans still consider the series the best boxing games ever made

This is EA's third revival of a dormant sports series, following College Football and Skate. VGC suggests EA could reach a licensing deal for fighters through Zuffa or the UFC, given EA already makes UFC games

Boxing has had a big couple of years, with huge fights drawing massive audiences. A modern Fight Night with today's technology could be a real hit. The challenge will be getting enough licensed fighters to make it feel complete

Which boxers would you want in the new Fight Night? And will it live up to Round 4 and Champion?
