My backlog has become a genuine source of low grade guilt, dozens of games purchased with real enthusiasm and abandoned somewhere around the halfway mark

Curious what people's actual completion rate honestly looks like, and whether you've made any real peace with an ever growing pile of unfinished games or if it genuinely bothers you

Genuinely finish maybe one in five games I start these days, life just doesn't leave the same free time it used to for seeing everything through

My backlog has become a clear joke among my friends at this point, buy constantly during sales and rarely actually play any of it seriously

I've made peace with it completely, treat games more like a library now, some get finished, most don't, and that's fine with me

I've stopped buying games I'm not immediately going to play, cured my backlog problem entirely by just removing the impulse purchase habit altogether

Almost always finish story driven games specifically, it's the open world time sink games that pile up unfinished for me
Currently losing at something

My backlog stresses me out more than it should, there's something about unfinished things sitting there that quietly bothers me
