More details have emerged about the remake of the original Silent Hill. Video Games Chronicle, citing a report from MP1st, says Bloober Team's remake, codenamed Project Noise, is planned for release in 2027, as long as Konami's schedule does not slip

The report names two UK based actors whose roles are unknown. Gabrielle Fritz has credits including FBI International and voice work in Battlefield 2042, Wolfenstein II and Eve: Valkyrie. Jade Matthew has appeared in Doctors, EastEnders and Torchwood

The lead character, Harry Mason, has not reportedly been cast yet. Konami confirmed the remake last year, and series producer Motoi Okamoto has said Konami aims to release a Silent Hill game every year

Recent entries include Ascension in 2023, The Short Message and the Silent Hill 2 remake in 2024, Silent Hill f in 2025 and Townfall last month. The Silent Hill 2 remake had sold five million copies by January 2026, which helped persuade Konami to commit to more

Bloober Team surprised a lot of sceptics with Silent Hill 2, so fans are more hopeful about this one. The original game is a classic, but it has aged badly in places, which makes it a good candidate for a remake. This is still an unconfirmed report, and no platforms have been named

Are you excited for a Silent Hill 1 remake? And is one Silent Hill game a year too many?
