IO Interactive has dated the Nintendo Switch 2 version of its James Bond game, 007 First Light, for 18 March 2027. Nintendo Life's Liam Doolan reports that the date was revealed in an exclusive trailer at IGN Fan Fest. The Switch 2 version was delayed, and the studio says it has used the extra time to improve performance on Nintendo's hardware

Pre-orders include an exclusive GoldenEye Suit for Bond, which is a lovely nod for Nintendo fans. GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo 64 is one of the most famous Bond games ever made, so the connection is well chosen

IO Interactive recently released a free update for the other versions, adding New Game Plus, a photo mode and more. Nintendo Life expects that content to be included in the Switch 2 version at launch, which means Switch 2 players should get the most complete version of the game

The game is listed at $69.99 in North America and £59.99 in the UK, Europe and Australia. It is already available on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC, where it has been well received

Taking extra time to get performance right is the sensible choice. A rushed port would have frustrated players. Bond on a handheld, with the extra content included, sounds like a great way to experience it

Will you pick up 007 First Light on Switch 2? And is the GoldenEye Suit a tempting pre-order bonus?
