Thanks for posting them, QD - I only just spotted this topic too If the membergroup levels are listed somewhere, it would help a lot to see them all in one place rather than guessing as people move up.

A simple breakdown like new member, regular member, and so on would make things much clearer. The forum feels easier to follow when those labels are obvious instead of hidden away.

That would be useful. Some forums make the levels so vague that nobody knows what the difference is until they've been around for ages

If there are specific post-count tiers or special groups, posting them here would save a lot of confusion. A small guide goes a long way.

Agree with the request. Membergroup levels are one of those details people only notice when they suddenly change, and then everyone starts asking what happened

A pinned list would probably be the cleanest fix. That way new members can see the structure straight away without needing to ask.

Sounds like this is sorted now, which is great. Having the levels written out makes the whole forum feel a bit more transparent and less mysterious.

Also, little things like that stop people from assuming there is some secret ladder behind the scenes when it is probably just normal post groups

There are really two separate things worth clarifying here: the names of the membergroups and the actual requirements for moving between them. Knowing that there are different levels is one thing, but knowing whether they are based purely on posts, account age, reactions, or some combination is another.

A small FAQ would probably do the trick. Something like New Member: 0-49 posts, Regular: 50-199, and so on, assuming those are actually the current figures. That way nobody has to rely on somebody saying "I think it changed a while back" every few months. Forums have enough mysteries without adding arithmetic to the list.
