Tenor (google owned) is shutting down in June 2026 (sunsetted) so we can't switch to Tenor even if we wanted. But Klipy is ok. I'm sure when Tenor is gone alot will switch over

I'm all for more integrations, but honestly I had to Google Klipy because I wasn't even sure what it was meant to do compared to Giphy. Feels like we're just collecting clip platforms at this point.

That said, if it actually brings better or different content, I wouldn't complain. Variety is always good

Giphy covering 95 percent is probably true, but that last 5 percent is where people get weirdly specific. That is usually the exact moment when you search and get the same five overused reactions instead of the one niche clip you actually want.

Adding something like Klipy or Tenor is less about quantity and more about variety. Different platforms surface different trends, and sometimes that matters more than having a massive library.

That said, stuffing every integration into one app can get messy fast. Search clutter, slower load times, and three tabs of nearly identical content is not exactly progress

If they do add it, a toggle or provider switch would keep things sane. Let people pick their poison instead of dumping everything into one search box.

I would be happy to see more options added. Different GIF services seem to have different strengths, with some having better memes, some better reaction clips, and some better newer content.

That said, I can see why Giphy was chosen first since it is already widely recognised and easy for most users. Maybe a provider selector could work if the forum software supports it, so people can use their favourite without making things complicated
