Going to say something that might annoy the organization enthusiasts here, pegboard gets recommended constantly as the ultimate garage organization solution, but honestly the hooks shift around over time, the actual weight capacity is genuinely limited for heavier tools, and a lot of the aesthetic appeal seems to matter more than genuine practical function for most people's actual tool collections. Modular drawer systems or simple shelving arguably serve most people's real storage needs better despite being genuinely less visually impressive online. Change my mind if you've got a genuinely strong counterargument

The usual pushback is that pegboard offers genuinely instant visibility of your entire tool collection at a glance, which I'll grant has real value for frequently used items specifically. Still think the actual practical limitations get glossed over constantly in favor of how good it looks in photos though. Curious if anyone's got a solid argument against the core practical complaints

So change my mind if you can. Genuinely open to a good counterargument here

Visibility point genuinely matters more than you're giving it credit for honestly, since actually seeing every tool at a glance saves real time versus digging through closed drawers for something specific. Weight limitation is a fair complaint for heavier items though. Depends heavily on what specific tools you're actually storing and how often you reach for them
