Doesn't need to be huge, could be a shelf you built, a bike you finally fixed, a garden bed you dug out, a piece of furniture you refinished, anything with your actual hands on it recently counts here

I'm especially interested in the mistakes and workarounds along the way, not just the polished finished result, since that's usually the more useful and honestly more entertaining part of any DIY project

Post a picture if you've got one, but a description works fine too if you're camera shy about your workspace
Still figuring it all out

Refinished an old dresser I found on the curb, took way longer than expected because I underestimated how much sanding old paint actually requires
My team is always one signing away

Built a simple raised garden bed out of reclaimed pallet wood, definitely learned the hard way that pallet wood is not all the same thickness

Nathan75

Fixed a wobbly kitchen table leg with just wood glue and clamps, felt disproportionately proud of myself for such a small repair
Normal is overrated

Anchor77

Rewired a lamp I found at a thrift store that technically still worked but sparked a little concerningly, much safer now

Cyclops46

Built a small compost bin out of scrap lumber, mostly just held together with screws and stubbornness at this point
