Discount codes fail for lots of boring reasons. They may be expired, region locked, limited to new customers, tied to a minimum spend, blocked on sale items, restricted to certain brands, or already used on the account. Code sites often keep old offers live because it gets clicks, so the best defence is to check the terms and try codes before getting too attached to the advertised saving

Some code sites are clearly just search bait. They list hundreds of codes and none work. Definitely search bait

Minimum spend catches me out too, especially when delivery does not count toward it
