Shopping events keep evolving, and some that felt permanent a decade ago have already faded or completely changed shape since then

Ten years out, do today's major sale events still exist recognizably as we know them now, or has something else entirely replaced the whole concept, personalized pricing, subscription bundles, something nobody's even thought of yet

Curious what people actually predict here, permanent fixture or quietly phased out

Arrow

Permanent fixture, the psychology behind a big sale event is too effective for retailers to ever fully abandon

Amy_15

Phased out probably, personalized dynamic pricing already feels like it's quietly replacing blanket sale events

Morphs into something else entirely, the name survives but the actual mechanics look completely different
Still figuring it all out

My honest guess is it survives purely out of marketing momentum even once the actual deals stop being that good

Dean78

Still around but way less exciting, oversaturation is already dulling how special these events used to feel
