Haha mine is only a couple of years ago from uni. Works great for gaming

That is the part most people skip over. What I find interesting is what it chooses not to include as much as what it does.

Really good thread this.

Yeah that sounds about right. Can't really go wrong with it.

That is the conclusion most people land on eventually. The problem with most advice online is it assumes a clean install which most machines are not.

Should sort it if the basics are fine.

ElPresidente

That is exactly the lesson I learned. Good luck with it. :P

I tried that and the catch was not obvious until afterwards. The problem with most money saving advice is it assumes you have the time to do it all.

Worth doing even if the saving is small.
Football is life. Everything else is just details.

BackRowBob

Makes sense to me. Good to hear other people's experience.

Feels like the right read on it. I will keep following it.

Myles

The way this has been framed in the media does not quite match the underlying detail. Worth watching closely.

No real argument from me on that. Form matters but so does the matchup and that gets ignored a lot.

Still think I am right on this.

Software bloat is half the problem and it gets worse with every update.
