Been daily driving Linux for about two years now and I genuinely think the software side has caught up, the honest remaining barrier is just habit and specific proprietary software people won't give up

Curious what people's actual honest take is here, not the usual tribal answer, genuinely whether you'd hand a distro to your non technical parent without a follow up support call within the week

Handed my mom a Linux laptop last year purely out of necessity, she's never noticed the difference for basic browsing and email, so yes for that use case at least
