A lot of camera buyers overpay for SD cards because they see the biggest read speed on the packet and assume that is the whole story. For most mirrorless cameras and DSLRs, the safer starting point is a reliable UHS-I V30 card from a known brand, then moving up to UHS-II only when your camera can actually use it. The SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC card is a solid everyday choice for 4K and stills, while the Samsung PRO Plus Full Size 128GB SDXC Memory Card is another good option if you want a fast UHS-I card. If your camera supports UHS-II and you shoot long bursts or higher bitrate video, the Lexar Professional 1667x SD Card 128GB makes more sense. The main thing is matching the card to the camera, not buying the most expensive card because the label looks impressive

I have had better results buying two decent 128GB cards than one huge card. It keeps a card failure from ruining the whole day

For photos I still think UHS-I V30 is enough for most people. Video is where the card choice starts to matter more

The camera manual is usually the best guide. If it only has a UHS-I slot, a pricey UHS-II card will not magically run at full speed

I like sticking with SanDisk, Samsung, Lexar, or Kingston because fake no-name cards are still everywhere
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Good shout. I had something similar happen.

Nice one
