The Arc browser is coming to an end. TechCrunch reports that Arc will stop working on 22 December, as The Browser Company puts all of its effort into its newer AI browser, Dia

The Browser Company was bought by Atlassian for $610 million, and Dia has been its focus for some time. Arc had already stopped receiving new features, but many fans hoped it would at least keep running

The shutdown comes in stages. Arc Search, the mobile companion app, loses its AI features on 23 November. Arc itself stops working on 22 December, and user data will be deleted within 30 days after that

Arc built a passionate following with its sidebar tabs, Spaces and unusual design. It was one of the few browsers in years that made people rethink how browsing could work. Plenty of users will now be hunting for a replacement

It is a shame to see a creative product shut down, even if the business logic is clear. Atlassian clearly sees Dia as the future. Anyone still using Arc should export their bookmarks and data well before the deadline

Are you still using Arc, and where will you move? And is Dia a worthy successor?
