What is the easiest way to stabilize handheld video footage?

Whenever I record video handheld it ends up shaky and looks amateur. I know about software stabilization but I would rather fix it at the source. What gear actually helps?

A basic tripod is the simplest fix but if you need movement a gimbal like DJI RSC 2 - 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer for DSLR and Mirrorless Camera works really well

Even a small handheld stabilizer improves things a lot compared to just holding the camera

If you are on a budget start with a tripod and then move to a gimbal if you need motion shots
