Is the Fujifilm X100VI really the best camera for street photography right now?

The Fujifilm X100VI keeps getting called the best street photography camera on the market right now, and there's a genuine case for it. Fixed 35mm equivalent lens forces discipline instead of constant zooming, the hybrid viewfinder is genuinely unique, and the whole package is small enough to actually carry everywhere without feeling like a burden. Fujifilm's film simulations also mean a lot of shooters barely need to edit afterward. Curious whether people think it actually earns that reputation or if it's mostly hype and waitlists

The obvious counterpoint is that a fixed 35mm lens is a genuine limitation, not a feature, for anyone who wants versatility, and the autofocus still lags behind Sony's best mirrorless bodies in tricky lighting. Plenty of experienced street photographers still prefer a Ricoh GR or even a well used Leica Q for the exact same genre. Curious how much of the X100VI hype is genuine performance versus scarcity driven desirability
