AI is being added to almost everything, from search engines and phones to cars, fridges and toys. Companies are racing to put it into every product they sell, often whether customers want it or not. Some uses are clearly helpful, like spotting fraud on bank accounts or translating languages in real time. Others raise serious questions about fairness, privacy and responsibility

Many people seem to draw a line around decisions that affect someone's life in a big way. Hiring, benefits claims, criminal justice and child welfare are common examples, since an AI error in those areas could do lasting harm. Others worry about AI in children's toys, companionship apps or anything that involves trust and emotion. Some just dislike AI in creative work, like music, writing and art

For me, the line is any decision about a person that cannot be explained or appealed. If an AI turns down a job application or a loan, the person should be able to find out why and challenge it with a human. Using AI to help is fine, but someone accountable should make the final call. Without that, mistakes become impossible to fix

This is not a thread about banning AI entirely, but about where people draw their own lines. It is interesting how different those lines can be. Something one person finds helpful, another finds creepy

Where would you never want AI to be used? And where do you think it is doing more good than harm?
