What AI tools are you actually using day to day and what has genuinely stuck?

Not a news discussion, just a practical one. There has been so much launched in the last 18 months that the signal-to-noise ratio is terrible. I want to know what people here are actually using on a regular basis, not what they tried once and forgot about.

The landscape has shifted from general chat assistants towards more specialised tools embedded in things you already use. AI features inside your editor, your email client, your browser. The shift from separate app to integrated feature has changed how I think about adoption.

Personally there are about three or four things I use daily now that I would genuinely miss if they vanished. And there are a much larger number of things I tried, found moderately useful, and then simply stopped opening. Curious where others have landed.

Coding assistant in my editor has stuck completely. I genuinely cannot imagine my daily workflow without it now which probably should worry me slightly but it is too useful to care.

AI-assisted search for research has replaced a lot of my initial Google queries. Not for everything, the hallucination risk is still real on specific facts, but for getting oriented on an unfamiliar topic it is excellent.

Tried the email drafting tools several times. Every single one makes my emails sound like they were written by someone who has read a lot of emails but never had a real conversation. Stopped using them.

Voice transcription for meeting notes has been transformative. The one that actually integrates with my calendar and produces summaries automatically has saved me enormous amounts of time.

I use image generation for mood boarding and design direction work. Not for final assets but for communicating ideas quickly with clients and colleagues. Very sticky use case.

Document summarisation for long PDFs and reports. I would say 30 percent of the time the summary is good enough that I do not need to read the full document. The other 70 percent I still read it but I start with better context.

Everything I have tried for creative writing assistance has felt like it is diluting my voice rather than helping it. Very useful for outlining and structure, useless once I want to actually write sentences.
