OpenAI phone rumour points to first hardware product

The Verge reports that OpenAI's first major hardware product may be a phone, with mass production possibly targeted for early 2027. Even though the story is about future hardware, it matters now because phones are becoming the battleground for new interface ideas. The challenge will be making something useful rather than another expensive experiment.
