AI could make forums less intimidating for new members by helping them find the right board, understand the rules, and search old threads before posting. It could suggest clearer topic titles, explain old answers in plain English, and point people toward related discussions without making them feel stupid for asking. The trick is to use AI as a helpful guide at the door, not as a replacement for real members and moderators

This is one of the better uses of AI for forums. A new member often leaves because they do not know where to start, not because the forum lacks information

Suggested topic titles would help a lot. Half of forum search problems begin with vague titles like help please or quick question

I like the idea of AI explaining old answers, especially on technical forums where the best fix might be buried in a ten year old thread
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong ;)

The important bit is making it optional. Some people want guidance, others just want the normal forum experience
