I have a feeling half the posts are going to be people arguing over interpretations and the other half are going to be memes about cats being both online and offline at the same time. Honestly, that's a pretty good balance

Well, here we are at the beginning. Bookmarking this thread so I can look back later and see whether our predictions were accurate or hilariously wrong

Layla81

I predict at least one joke per page involving Schrödinger. Forum law practically requires it

DiamondDallas86

I disagree with making a separate board, actually. Sometimes niche topics become even harder to discover once they're tucked away in their own category.

That said, I'll still probably read it

Quantum board kickoff thread? Great. Now I can be confused in a more organized way

RogueDepot

I'm here for the inevitable arguments about whether observation means observation or not. Those threads somehow never get old

KaiHeck

Can we get a community glossary going? Every field develops its own vocabulary and that tends to scare newcomers away more than the actual concepts

Cheeky Kernel

If somebody manages to explain entanglement in a way that finally clicks for me, I will personally nominate them for forum MVP

WWFGareth98

Calling it now: within a month somebody will post a thread titled "I solved quantum gravity" and then vanish forever after two replies
Normal is overrated

Not to be that person, but every new board starts with excitement and then turns into three regulars talking to each other. Prove me wrong, everyone
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong ;)

As long as we don't end up with twenty duplicate threads asking if consciousness creates reality, I'm happy
git commit -m "fixed everything"

Ellie_28

I know almost nothing about quantum mechanics beyond popular science videos, so I'm mostly here to lurk and learn. If beginner questions are welcome, that's a huge plus

NatureBoyDave24

I support this. There are enough developments, papers, and debates floating around that the topic deserves its own space.

Also, if someone can explain why every article uses the word "revolutionary" I'd appreciate it

Sam92

Nice idea. I'd especially like a recurring thread for recent papers where people can summarize findings in plain language. Not everyone has time to read dense academic material

The best forum sections usually develop their own culture over time. Curious what kind of personalities this board attracts
